Til' I'm Finally Drained Of It
Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the swift gazelles and the deer of the wild, not to awaken love until the time is right
Song of Songs 2:7
It’s just a little frustrating to know that, in this particular sense, I may very well be asleep until the end of time… all I can do now is pray that I’ll be strong enough to keep the nightmares from killing me until God sends somebody to wake me up…

Living ChristianityFreeze my heart, then, Lord
Yes, teach me not to feel
Make me numb to the desire
To be the one who owns his smile
That no ring would house my finger
That I would disdain romance
That You would beat the child in me
Who yearned for the Happily Ever After
You granted to his brothers
My brothers, and sisters
Who, like brain-dead sheep
Will endlessly bleat
and warn
and scold
and repeat
The 26th and 27th of Romans 1
But why do they go magically deaf
When I try to differentiate lust and love?
I get it
Their pride speaks louder than words
(or lack thereof)
So until I have my answer…
Dear Jesus, let this cursed wish of mine
This wish to make him happy
To give the grace you gave to me, to him
Let the blood in me that screams to give him life
Yes, let the veins inside that selflessness run dry
So that after this heart finally dies
Completing death might make more sense
Perhaps one day I’ll give it a try…
So I’ll see You much sooner
So You won’t avoid me then
Then I can point to the delerium
You saw fit to lock me in
Plus all the reasons I truly needed
But my siblings couldn’t admit they couldn’t give
And ask You
“Why?”
“Why?!”
WHY?

Daniel this just rips at my heart. With much love from your big sister. xx

Very powerful and heartfelt words Daniel. No-one knows the torment that others go through because of situations and circumstances that we go through in life, no-one person has the right to judge. Only God Himself. Beacause He knows the very heart, the very mind and the very soul of every person who has ever lived and ever will do. But He does not lock us in he has set us free. He will never take away our ability to love and have compassion because that is His very nature, but in His strength an power as we totaly yield ourselves to The Holy Spirit he will fill us with a love that will empower us to live according to His Word. He will not take away our desires but as we follow Him and delight in Him He will grant us the desires of our hearts. For when we totaly give our lives to Him and He is totaly Lord of our lives our desires will become His desires because he is the most importan person in our lives.
