There is another extremely important mantra (power prayer) that is needed right now, April 2009.

I first heard this beautiful mantra during a visit to the Siddha Yoga Center in La Jolla, California. It is an invocation, and a tribute to Sri Muktananda of India….Master Yogi, Teacher and modern-day Saint.

First the English, then the Sanskrit:

I offer my Self to the Light, the auspicious One,

Who is the true teacher within and without,

Who assumes the form of reality, consciousness, and bliss;

Who is never absent and is full of peace,

Independent in existence, the vital essence of illumination.

And the Sandskrit:

Aum namah sivaya gurave

satchidananda murtaye

Nishprapanchaya shantaya

Niralambaya tejase.
