this was a drawing i found the other day that i had left half finnished so i finnished ot today for the bubble Eliphants are a truly enigmatic species we tend to think of the african plains in conjuction with them but there are different habitat specialists for these giant roving creatures though all the same species there are forest dwelling eli’s and in the forests of the congo they have recently found there are more eliphants there than in the whole of eastern africa they act tottally different to the plains eli’s as they do not remain in herds but roam the forests in small groups and are very secretive and ellusive and are reportidly more dangerouse than the plains eliphants and though they are such big animals are hard to spot in the forest this is what makes them dangerouse as you can get close to them without knowing it and they will suddenly charge if they feel threatend as said they tend to stay in very small groups just imidiet family and young but though the congo is mostly close forest and jungle there are openings where there are vast lakes and marshes and there they will meet and greet other eliphants as we would meet old friends and distant relatives there are allso those herds that specialize in desert habitat they have the hardest of all lives they are constantly on the move from one feeding and watering area to another and if the matriarc gets it wrong the little one are the first to die every move must be timend perficly arrive to soon or to late and the food and water is gone they spend ther entire lives constantly on the move roaming hundreds of miles and the young have a tough life as they must keep up i watched one docu about these eli’s and they had jut got 2 new babys but one was born with a deformned foot and you could see the herd where torn as they needed to move but knoew the baby neede time they waited days to see if he would improve then eventualy had to leave and he had to keep up what made it worse was his mother had died one of the older elis took him under her wing but didnt have any milk for him he stugled valiently with his foot and starving they got to a river and he was to week to cross one of his older sisters came backk accorss the river to stay with him when the film crew eventualy caught up with the herd he was no where to be seen such is the life of the desert eliphant
