    thank you as it says it from a larger piece depicting poeple of all ages and races but i was struck by her looking as if she was in her sunday best and the defiant look as if age would not bow her

    thanks i did a large piece including several portraites of all ages and races this lady had to be painted all done out in her sunday best age had not bowed her she looked so fierce and strong of will

    like the style of painting, a times old trees make me think of people this time the person makes me think of an ancient tree.

    this is one portraite from a larger painting a series of portraites there is a port of an african woman bout the same age the thing that struck me was the simularity in as much as both women seemned defiant of age and fiercly proud and unbowed both in there sunday best
