Just before the sun disappeared behind the fells, the last bit of sunlight illuminated this field and tree in Great Langdale, The Lake District.

I started photography around 30 years ago, and became interested in landscape photography after seeing the work of Derry Brabbs in “James Herriot’s Yorkshire”.
I live in Cumbria and take most of my photographs in the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales.

Thanks Ralph. Yes, you can get some amazing colours when afternoon sunlight falls on dead bracken. You often have to dial the saturation back!
