I sit so very startled. I’ve been around the Net a lot, though, admittedly, I don’t surf like I did in the early years. I’ve become too saturated and jaded by how the Net has become, not just so very commercialized and homogenous in its look, but more a war zone between spammers, scammers, malicious crackers and virii/trojan/worm/malware producers, and shady marketeers. So I tend to “stay home” on my own domains, only venturing out on the net when something really catches my eye. That happened this spring, and, because of that, (a real world experience that pointed me to a website), I was fortunate enough to be pointed in the direction of RedBubble by StacyLee . So now here, as opposed to other places where artists congregate, I find consistent quality and verve; I find a community which focuses on art as well as caring, and I find a lack of clique mentality…which is soooo refreshing. Oh, I don’t doubt that the negatives exist here as well, but, so far, I haven’t experienced it. And I want to thank you ALL for bringing delight in surfing a website back to my life. It gives me great pleasure and hope.
EDIT: Just learned that adding double dashes like this produces strikeout. Hmmm — word word word — Had to edit to get my parenthetical explanative in there.
