Sunrise on the River
This is sunrise on the Pend Oreille River, late winter, usually February. The Chinook winds come, breaking the deep January freeze, melting the river ice in patches. The extreme temperature change brings us especially beautiful sunrises as warm air against icy water makes fog form that creates glory light from sun rays.
Part of the “Seasons of the Sun” series.

Thank you, all. You know, I was hesitant to put this one up since it lacks some of the drama of the others in the series. I’m now glad I did. Maybe I’ll finish up adding the ones I put in this year’s calendar. Again, thanks.
