Warm Misty Sunrise

We’re up early in the morning. The mists are gentle, easing the bright light of a rising sun nearing solstice. As we sip our coffee, freshly perked, we listen to the sounds of morning, muted by fog, but lifting a chorus of joy to life.

Thanks, Anthony, Helene, and Antanas. This is the image I will campaign most strongly this year. Unfortunately, I got my first print proofs of this, and the colors are not printing as I intend, even when I send a sample image. I only had it printed here at my local printers, and did a test calendar from an online venue. Both are shedding the reds to bring it more yellow, this despite some meticulous attention to the .EPS file and the swatches. So, a conference with my local printer informs me that this is a VERY difficult image to print. He went into jargon, though, and, since he’s an old hand at this, I took his word for it, and he’s working to get the work set up so it prints as intended. Unfortunately, that does not bode well for printing it through online venues for a more accessible price. Sigh.
