And What Do Your Knights Wear?

Deborah Lazarus

Macon, United States

Artist's Description

Digital art inspired by the chain mesh that was a part of a knight’s suit of armor in Midieval times. This harkens back to King Arthur, the knights of the round table, Guinevere, and of course, The Lady of Avalon, Morgane. This mesh is stained with the blood of war. You could not have a war in those days without the appropriate number of knights. If you ever read the book, “The Mists of Avalon” and your life was not changed forever, then let me be the first to say, “What’s wrong with you?”

My works are created by interchanging and moving back and forth between MGI Photosuite 4, Corel, Seriff, and Photoshop. I do not use clip art, or boxed canned programs in the creation of my art. They are products of my own imagination and not the duplication of art pre-engineered by a program graphic designer. My skills alone give birth to my work. My works are “my children”. They are inspired by life that surrounds me and moves me. I hope you will like them, too, but if they do not please anyone else at least I know that I created them for me and by myself.
