Hate to tell you this but Blanchland is still in County Durham haha.Has the same are telephone code as me.It is a beautiful old village and you have captured it beautifully. did you go to The Lord Crewe and visit the ghost of Lady Dorothy? (they have a wonderful Monks hiding holr in the chimney, you just look up and there it is, chair and all haha) hugs

Sorry Hilary, I got it from the local history book which said it was a unique Northumbrian village, it certainly is if it’s in County Durham. lol I will quickly change it, Thank you so much for yourcomment, no we did not actually visit the Lord Crewe this time because we had to get to Hexham for lunch, wish we hadn’t this is where Karen gort a fish bone stuck in her throat and we spent a day and a half in hospital. We did visit the lovely tea shop though. :-)

Hope you enjoyed your visit, outside of the trip to the hospital.
The picture looks as if the day was very nice. Wonderful shot. You captured so many images in one shot.

Thank you Sarai, we did have a good time thank you. My wife got a fish bone stuck in her throat and had to have a general anasthetic to locate it. (They didn’t find it so it must have cleared). She is OK now though. :)
