The Guild Chapel, Stratford-upon-Avon by

Another image from my brief time in the UK, I’m actually a bit miffed at the moment that not many of my great photo opportunities worked out, the weather was dodgy so the sky was very bland, and my focusing wasn’t that fantastic, which might or might not have been due to a dirty lens…

I did learn lots however, and I really really want to buy a couple of new lenses to play with…

This is a photo of the Guild Chapel, Stratford-upon-Avon.

And, like the other one of Trinity Church this is an image made out of a number of images blended together…

Look at all that glass! I think I spent about half an hour in Stratford on Avon. I love the feel of lifting darkness. I guess thats what the architect was thinking…

Great lines, this perspective is good, the soft and shallow lighting works well too.

  • Thanks Stephen,

I walked into the chapel and it was completely empty, so I sat on the floor for about 20 minutes taking a few images of the space using a Pod that I bought from Jessops while there.

I really wanted to have a decent image of the place when I got home, it’s really a lovely town with a lot of simple and interesting photo opportunities. Unfortunately we were only there overnight, so not much time to do anything but a quick run around.

Well, it has worked very well, creates the right ‘feeling’ for a building of this type.

Amazing composition of images. Love the colouring in the woodgrain and stone.
