Married by Darren Wright

Guess I should post that Holly and I were married on the 16th of April, 2011, only a couple of weeks ago now.

The day was wonderful, a sky so blue that you’d start believing that it happened BECAUSE of the wedding and people so friendly and supportive that you’d think we’ve got a bunch of fantastic friends and beautiful families (which is true of course).

Amazed at how fast the day went though, it started for me at 9am at the venue and we left at about 5:30pm, and it felt like it was only an hour.

I’ve started to write my thoughts down from the day, as a help to others thinking about their own wedding, in particular some thoughts about images and photos but also with a huge focus on the liturgy and community involvement in that liturgy. That stuff will come at a later date.

I’d love to thank Mike and Bec who did the pro-photography for the day, they were polite, fun, sublime, amusing, considerate, thoughtful, patient…

We had set aside Holly’s cousin and her computer to download people’s SD cards before they left, many people obliged an I ended up with about 700 images that I had to cut, crop and edit my way through…
