Rishel Covered Bridge was built in 1830 by builder John Shriner. The bridge is Burr Truss constructed and measurers 110 feet in length by 17 feet in width. It is also known as Montandon Covered Bridge. That sign on the top left, is the Flood Line from 1972.

The bridge has the distinction of being the oldest covered bridge in the nation (Open to traffic). The bridge was reconstructed in 1982 and is open to traffic, but with height restrictions.
