Watching the salmon return to spawn is so inspirational! They just don’t quit till it’s all over.. I want to be like that; walking until I just can’t walk anymore… taking pictures until my eyes won’t focus and my arthritic fingers won’t hold a point’n’shoot! Yeah, baby!
It took a couple of days of shooting them (well not constantly)… between clouds so the light was right. And yes I did get wet and the lens got a little splash too. Took this shot just after the last time it rained…
I hope it rains again soon for them!
Perhaps not the sharpest shot in the bunch but this one caught my eye over and over when reviewing them. To me it embodies their gung ho, give-it-all-ya-got, enthusiastic determination. They are FAST wigglers! Most of the time I couldn’t even catch them at 1/4000 of second! Lots of in-focus tails with part of the tail out of the frame.
