Wings of Light by DJ LeMay

Waited patiently for years to get this shot… one must have a porch here in the rainforest for petunias to thrive… finally got my porch AND my petunias AND my shot. It was worth the wait!

Cool shot DJ!!! His wings are really moving … wow!! Take Care ~ Rick & Deb ~ ☺

  • Hey you! I’ve got to see what you’ve been up to now that I’ve finally got my connection fixed and am able to get around here!
Thanks heaps for jumping right on this one! It was my fav from the summer even tho I didn’t capture the light in his eye… kept trying to sneak around so the light was at my back, but then I was facing the house and the beautiful green bokeh was gone. But then… so was the special light shining thru his wings. sigh … Are we photographer’s ever completely satisfied with a shot?! lol… I think not! ;)

I love how the wings are almost translucent. You seem to have a pretty good crop of petunias there too!

  • Thank you, Denise! The petunias did very well… just had to move them under the porch when it rained… and keep picking – annuals generally do better if you keep picking off the spent blossoms.
