When I lived on the South Rim, one of my Sons and I witnessed a thunderstorm down in the Canyon. We heard the thunder echoing off the canyon walls while lightnin flashed on top of the clouds. Above us, was a crescent moon and relatively clear sky…Beautiful shot…Lynn

I was amazed at the way the clouds rolled through the canyon, up and over each plateau as it aproached… the rock across from me in the foreground was struck by lightning as I reached the visitor center door… I was very lucky.

You were at the right spot at the right time. Storms move swiftly through and above the Canyon…Lynn

Thanks, David! I appreciate the Fave! and your kind comments. I’ve been so fortunate to capture lightning during the day a couple of times now…. funny but never at night?!
