Inca Dove

Gilbert, Arizona using a Canon Powershot SX40HS

Found in Texas, the desert Southwest and increasingly brushy areas around towns and farms. Mostly where seeds and water are plenty. Unlike ground doves, it eats at feeders routinely.

Inca Doves are relatively scarce in natural habitats other than riparian corridors near settlements. It is sensitive to cold often huddling in groups for warmth.

VOICE A 2-part oh-houp, slightly descending and repeated often rendering a “no-hope” for its melancholy quality.

My goal is to get my name out there among the vast ocean of Natural photographers. To be known for my skill with a Point & Shoot~

My images are not photo shopped. They have only been adjusted with basic sharpening, contrasting & saturation techniques. I believe that in order to appreciate Nature, you have to capture it as it is, naturally.
