Info from Atlanta Zoo Page

White-crested laughing thrushes are very active birds. They are non-migratory and spend a lot of time communicating with each other and foraging in the forest canopy, as well as on the ground. The birds live in extended family groups and are very inquisitive and nosy. Males and females are strongly bonded and share incubation and rearing duties. White-crested laughing thrushes are very protective of their nest sites and territories.

White-crested laughing thrushes are common in the wild. The primary threat to their populations is habitat loss.
