After Summer Check-in ~ by Kimberly P-Chadwick

I thought I would pop in and say hi first and foremost. I have been inactive for a while. The Summers here Southern Arizona don’t allow for much time for me to get out…lol. However now that the kids are back in school I hope to get back into the swing of things. I have backed up, cleaned out and edited most of my images. I have new ideas and new techniques as I have learned over the past few months in my research……

First I want to share my idea that I am very excited about! As most of you know I use a Point & Shoot. Therefore the size of the image after cropping doesn’t leave for much of a suitable, printable size. So I was trying to rack my brain on different directions to go. I came up with BOOKMARKS. I thought, why not?! You can find postcards of a place you are visiting anywhere you go, but what about a bookmark? Simple and allows me to use many more of my images in a fun way. Almost everyone could use one, easy to mail, and great gifts. So I hope to get started and in production by November!

Second, I received an email from the Photo Researcher with Avanti Press greeting cards this morning inquiring about the use of this image.

He will present it to the meeting board for approval. I am so thrilled and honored that I was even contacted regarding such a thing! Keep your fingers crossed and I will keep you posted~☺

So forgive me that I have not been around to comment on all the fantastic work that I obviously have missed. I look through now and see so many beautiful pieces!! Wonderful work my friends! I hope to be able to dedicate some more time to my bubble buddies and family.
