Sometimes I just can’t get it right.
The Camera I use is not a bad one but can’t do Raw format and since I forgot that I have a AUTO adjustment on my camera, I do some mistakes and need to work them out in photoshop.
However, if everything looks good on my laptop doesn’t mean it is. Very often colors on the laptop look so much different as on the print or on a normal screen.
Appart from buying a new computer or at least a monitor I am still wondering if there is another solution.
If somebody knows a little more about, I would be very happy if you let me know.

you have to calibrate your laptop to whatever output thing your using i think im no pro but have had the same problems
corel paintshop pro x has a thing that does it or check a thing called a spyder colour calibrater google it there not that dear but havent used 1 as yet just the paintshop calibration

Yes, it’s all about calibration, and print vs monitor profiles. Fixing it is not a trivial exercise though and the tools are relatively expensive. But spyder is one, but then you also need one for the printer and that’s where it can be expensive. Check Kodak’s web site, they give you useful information about printer profiles. By they way it also varies depending on the paper type your printing on. Kodak has profiles for it’s paper, epson for theres, cannon for theirs, so as I said not trivial.

Thank you very much. It’s not so much about printing. It’s more a monitor thing. I am working on different computers and what’s looking great on a pc with an old monitor doesn’t look that great on the laptop. Also I have to do a lot of things on the Laptop and that’s where it starts getting difficult. Got little tools like Quick Gamma etc. but it still doesn’t come out like on a normal pc monitor. By now I guess it’s a downside of a laptop……

keep in mind weather your printer can handle the colours your generating in photoshop ie 4 colours / 6 colours / 8 colours/12 colours

Thanks a lot for your help, got a bit better results playing with the paintshop profiles. But by now I guess, I got to live with that since it depends also a lot on the viewing angle.
