Felt pen, ink and collage.

This work is the result of a study on text and silence for my Fine Arts study. I have used words associated with suicide and text to tone the grieving figure and a combination of collage for the remaining sections.

My exploration is on the association of silence with grief and suicide has come from personal experience. I have now experienced 5 male suicides by people close to me. In all cases they have been silent about their feelings and left behind people bereft and grieving with un answered questions.

This is incredibly INTENSE….SO MUCH EMOTION JUST SCREAMING in this silence

  • Glad you can see it Heather. I did a lot of planning for that one which is unusual for me!
