Lakeside Meditation

I liked my Private Lake poem inspiring Robin Monroe’s Skinnydipping II painting so much, I decided to write something today which was inspired by one of HER artworks to return the favor.

Lakeside Meditation belongs to the following groups:

Collaboral Damage and Live, Love, Dream:

I flood my world of stress with focused waves of clarity
and willingly lose all sense of self control
as I succumb to serene tranquility
and let myself feel the moon draw me further in
as the tide of deep calm soothing blues washes over me.

What the heck are you eating on your profile?
By the way Russ and Robin, nice collaboration :)

LOL, I was eating a vanilla ice cream covered in a very hard-shelled chocolate fudge at Chili’s…and it was DELICIOUS!
(This became my portrait pic a few days after I posted my Sundae Morning poem on here…and got faved by a few people.)

Glad you like the collab; you should have a look at her work & add her to your watchlist if you haven’t already. Seems like when some of my writing & some of her art emotionally mesh together…they seem to “give more life” to each other in their own different sort of ways. I get her visual; she gets my “voice”.

I SEE…! You’ve been on a roll lately with faving a lot of my poetry :)
I’ve got like 5 or 6 of your works on my faves list, too.
Hugs back to you, too :)

Beautiful poem to couple the art piece.

    Thank you!
I made a point in my poem to also “shape” it like one of those waves to add more “flow” to the poem as well.
