She awakens—leaving yesterday’s performance behind
As the sun opens its eyes to the fulfillment of another day.

The rebirth of Spring emerges
As hope revives her expectations.
The girls have captured his attention.
Her figure approaches
As she shines her radiance on him.
His attention to her becomes an equinox with them.
She soaks him up like clouds to water vapor
As she pours her warmth on him.
He basks in her light—leaving the girls’ shadows behind

As the growing of Summer emerges.
The hormones turn hot and hazy
As they arrive at her place.
They romance each other with affection
As the sun reaches its zenith.
The moment invokes a solstice.
She soaks him up like clouds to water vapor
As she pours her humidity on him.
He basks in her heat—leaving the dimmed room behind

As the aging of Autumn emerges.
Apparel falls from the bodies
As leaves shed from the trees.
The sun is setting
As his fish swims in her contaminated pond.
A foliage of red, purple, and pink penetrates her private leaf
As dusk permeates the sky.
Her interest in him becomes an equinox with sleep.
She soaks him up like clouds to water vapor
As she pours her yearning on him.
He basks in her lukewarmth—leaving the cold performance behind

As the dying of Winter emerges.
Chilled by her realization,
Her void engulfs a solstice.
She soaked him up like clouds to water vapor
As she retained her frozen heart from him.
He no longer basks in her permafrost

As the sun shuts its eyes to the emptiness of another night.
She falls asleep—leaving today’s performance behind.

Ahh, Thank You!! Poetry & storytelling are hard to combine & make each look like the other. I don’t do epics though. I prefer to focus more on poetry than story.

    Two warmish seasons for one face;
two colder ones for the other bluer one.
