Experiences like this have touched a few people close to me. It is very
    moving to see…

  • Thank you Marriet! It is mind blowing that in a world where so many have too much, others don’t even have shelter. I felt a little invasive when I snapped this shot, but I was captivated by the solitude and depth the scene!

when i look on it i feel some lonlyness, emptyness, silence, but also a beautiful colors, fields, and dreams too…i liked to see what the sitting man sees…there is a new begining sure…

  • This was taken in Baton Rouge, LA, on the Mississippi River levee. We were both watching the barges cruise down the river. Both, I think, for some quiet reflection. The feeling is lonely for sure. I felt it as I watched him and snapped the photo. I feel it as I look at the photo too. I actually have this picture forever in my mind as well. It is truly a reminder to never forget the forgotten!!

wow, this is too cool, i’ve a shot very similar taken in new orleans entitled A View Of The Mississippi, same composition, no person though, i like this one

  • Thanks Jim!! I took this down town in Baton Rouge, my home town. It was sad and peaceful all at the same time and he really just seemed to enjoy the view. Very introspective I think!! I appreciate your kind words:)

  • Fantastic!! Thank you so much Joseph!! This photo really strikes a cord with me and I want to share it with everyone. So far only a few have wanted to take notice. I really feel like it is such an overlooked issue in our country and it is very real and very unfortunate. This feature mans so much!!

Great shot. His demeanor says desolate. Congratulations on your features!

  • Much appreciated Ethna!! I found it peaceful that no matter his situation, he took a few minutes to sit and take in the world around him!! The simple things!!!

Wonderful emotional capture of loneliness, isolation, desperation and just the feeling of being all alone. Or Escapism. Well composed.

  • Thanks so much Michael!! I had all of these same feelings when I captured this!!
