"A Closet Human" 1986-04-28

I’m a closet human
A momentary man
Mostly robotic
I show my feelings when I can.

I struggle to survive
Keep myself in check
I know I’ll end up
an emotional wreck.

Now my cover has been blown,
And my true face shown.
It’s hard to be believed
When everyone’s ideas are preconceived.

But see the shock
Witness the incredibility
At the unopened lock
Of personal sensitivity.

So in the closet I remain
Hiding my love from public view.
Heart beats like soft falling rain
To me I’ll be true.
