I tried carving images in linol before but anyone who tried that will probably agree that the carving is hard work. But, here comes the idea of using the soft rubber of an eraser. Even though they are smaller they are so easy to carve… it’s like slicing through butter.
I started off with 4 stamps (2 erasers, using both sides): my signature, a little fox, a leaf and a tag. I already ordered more erasers (XXL ones) which are dead cheap compared to other material.
Talking about making your own stamps I’d like to point out Geninne’s Art Blog and especially her book about creating your own artful rubber stamps. I can’t wait to put my hands on it :)
November can be colourful indeed.
I have been quite busy creating my own stamps today…
