Oops .. in my excitement have gone public with todays shot – taken in the amazing farne islands off the northumbrian coast of UK, in the middle of the breeding season. The boat trip was amazing and the density of birdlife on the farnes just breathtaking!! Soo many photographers out there and you should have seen their suitcase sized lenses! This is just a humble try… tips and advice m ost welcome!!

ps the farnes were amazing today – we’d been many times years ago but got onto a great, different island! time was too short to get things right i’m afraid but what a place!

They do look fantastic birds Maggie and love the inclusion of as much fish as he can fit in his beak. Nicely timed indeed.
hey thanks stu – they’re amazing to see .. hard to photograph tho – never managed one in flight! (and probably never will LOL) … was leaving that to the big boys with the hugest lenses imagineable!
