The 20th anniversary of the falling of the wall yesterday sent me searching this out..

Taken by a 15 yr old looking east over the Berlin wall in Germany, 5th April 1967 .

    Amazing when one thinks about how old this photo is in relation to the amazing condition it is in! The boy did a wonderful job of composing this! Thank you for sharing it with us! : )

    Yes, that is for sure and even today I see some amazing shots taken by some of the cheaper snap shot type cameras! It is the person behind the camera that makes or breaks any given shot! : )

    A wonderful capture Maggie, it is amazing to think that it is 20 years since the wall came down. Although no one could ever contemplate rebuilding the wall, it is saddening to contemplate that for many East Germans, things actually got worse rather than better.

    Oh, Maggie … what an extraordinary image … I remember so well the days when we’d hear someone else was shot dead … trying to escape … trying to get home to their loved ones. And oh, the day that wall came down … as clearly as if it were yesterday. Now I have to ask … were you the 15 year old who took this fabulous image???
