A mellow dusk view of the delightful french medieval harbour of honfleur in normandy, inspiration for the artist Monet and my memorable first visit.. by sea :))))))

One Samuel de Champlain sailed out of this port in 1608 and 400 years later his is still remembered in the city of Quebec …

So beautiful, Maggie. Very well done.
  • It’s an absolutely stunning place Mike as you can see and you’d love the wonderfully medieval street and alleys, wooden church etc. It’s also the place Samuel de Champlain left from 400 years ago and I gather he’s well known in Quebec……
thanks so much all for dropping in to enjoy this delightful place…

Looks a lovely evening mags, I like the symmetrical reflections, especially the double masted yacht at the end there …… what a fantastic scene for an artist ……… :))

  • Thanks richie – it was bliss.. ! I gather monet used to paint and repaint the lovely scene here as it changes constantly with the wonderful light… and bet he wasnt the only one either.. I would so love to go back…
