Seen from the deck of a dhow in the Gulf of Aqaba, Humidity was very low so I was greatly surprised to see rainbow colours. However thanks to the atmospheric optics group I am reasonably confident now it’s a faint version of the famous upside down kind of rainbow thingummy called a circumzenithal arc !
There are wonderful versions of these amaxing arcs in the atmospheric optics group , well worth checking out !! (especially this one here which is by ern mainka who has taken so manu incredibel images!

:) hard to tell with out knowing where the sun was, also if you can, tweek the levels of the photo if you have a program that will do that, it can help bring out the colors, good catch, full looking up, never know what you might see.

This mast have been a difficult shot Dinghy, is it for sail?? I’d like to clear up this rainbow thingy.
Its not a rainbow its yer aura!! Yer aura be careful. Really realy good people cant hide their aura it pops up everywhere. Oh neat shot by the way!!
