Another great capture from the fireworks!!
It must have been fantastic to be there and watch (-:

ooh it sooo was!! an hour long concert of top quality music by acclaimed choir and orchestra.. accompanied perfectly by a complex visual score.. superb doesnt cover it!
would have been so sick to come away with nothing .. but it was heaps trickier than i imagined.. the few that came out were all on the same setting so i know where to start next time.. hopefully!

Your fireworks shots are great! Something I always struggle with and get wrong generally. What do you do? Tripod & slow or mid shutter speed?
dinghysailor1 replied
thanks heaps philip – i’ve put the details up on my other firework shots – it was quite a saga… but the few that came out well using a tripod were on f/8, 1sec, infinity focus, VR off, ISO100…..but hark at me – what do i know..LOL.. had just been swotting up on the net but it was a whole different ballgame fumbling in the dark with unfamiliar M for Mad settings…lol… delighted you like them
Cheers
maggie

Lois Bryan
... I should make a note of your settings … stunning!!!!!!!!!
dinghysailor1 replied
wow lois.. thanks – they were the settings i’d researched f8, iso 100 and 1sec but in all my fumblings.. trying shutter and aperture priority auto and P (cos i was panicking by that time)..these were the only ones that came out.. so i reckon they’re even idiot proof enuf for me…LOL….
