Thankfully not,, but oh so nearly!

Taken at the start of the annual fireworks concert under the familiar skyline of Edinburgh Castle marking the end of the city’s famous international arts festival..

In the gardens below thronged with picnickers my first attempts at fireworks meant fumbling in the dark with unfamiliar settings (like M for mad) and disoriented still further by an upended camera so all the buttons were in the wrong places… LOL.. ooh and it didnt help my confusion when my the display tried to pretend it was the usual way up! oops and my remote gave up on the third test click too..lol ..

In the end it was pot luck to time and frame things with heaps of missed chances..

So critique hugely welcome.. and excuses above!

    aw thanks karen.. poorly remote will be nursed to battery health soon …. and thrilled you like it.. ended up keeping my finger on the shutter button most of the night instead..

    hi debs so glad you like it! you can see fallen fireworks burning on the castle rock beneath the walls… luckily light winds meant only one spray of sparks on us.. it was even harder than i expected and pure pot luck what you caught but i was so glad to catch even a couple of moments of the display to remember…if i’d been any good i’d have got hundreds!!
