For Jan Timmons whose wonderful forum thread here has been the most enjoyable and thought provoking fun…

A wonderfully sited bench on the shore of st mary’s loch, enjoyed by the club sailors there and a resting spot for visitors and hikers along scotlands southern upland way. Running runs from coast to coast this bit of the path goes along the lochside between historic Traquair and the Tibbie Shiels inn.. both places with fascinating history…

Taken 5/6/09 with a witness to attest this is scotland and the sky really was this colour… !! ... tho it was chilly enough for the capsizing sailors there…LOL.. :))

    oops jan meant to dedicate and offer it for your travels with a bench…lol … but not sure how small this packs down…LOL… and was being a bit of a poser with the droopy tripod … hope to get fixed up soon ..teehee…

    aw thanks JD.. so glad you like it!! the loch is only two and a half miles long so think you may go a bit stir crazy after a while… my pref is for handling that blue sail – quite challenging winds here as they whistle through round and over the surrounding hills..but the hugest fun…

    I really like this angle with the little jetty and the hills across the water. It looks like there would be many other locations around the waters edge to catch a different scene. I have only begun to explore our Lake over here and it’s great to get around to new bits of it and see what’s there ready to shoot. :))
