A lovely tranquil woodland setting for this rustic bench (at Kailzie gardens, near Peebles in the scottish borders) surrounded by wonderful spring flowers like blue himalayan poppies, pink and bluebells, daisies and yellow celandine… while the nearby stream trickles down through the glade of colourful azaleas….

    How pretty, those blue poppies almost don’t look real they are so blue….......amazing what they have done over the years as there were no true blue flowers when I was younger, all slightly purple

    hanks so much! these tend to go purple as they mature i think.. and the buds can be darkish too.. but at this time of year the blue is so intense.. and lovely …

    we’ve only got them established in the past few years… quite a novelty when we first saw them… :))
