    Eva

  • dinghysailor1 replied

thanks so much eva :))) the colour seems to vary over time.. fresh blue and then tinges of purple with very hairy stems and leaves like this – they take a while to establish here in our scottish gardens and seem to love moist partial shade…

good luck! they are so stunning when they take hold and thrive its well worth trying!

    cheers and thanks
    maggie

  • Eva and Klaus Weber-Wanjek

Thanks for that Maggie! I can imagine that the climate in my garden is similar to that of the Scottish highlands and moist, shady places are not difficult to find in my neck of the woods ;o)

  • dinghysailor1 replied

wow thanks sergio – yes we do feel lucky .. they have incredible colour when the sun shines through… even more spectacular than this one taken on a grey day… and they have taken a while to establish … but am so glad to share them with you!! enjoy my friend…!

You’re killing me… I have one of these in the garden and it has barely produced 9 leaves in two years, and certainly no flowers! Gorgeous!

  • dinghysailor1 replied

don’t lose heart my friend.. they take quite a few attempts and a few years to get established (partial shade seems to work for ours).. hang on in there…lol and thanks
