A lovely hourglass to pass the time with.Regards.
Yes she is! When I saw this pic of hers I instantly fell in love with it and had to draw her! She is a sweet thing and kindly allowed me without knowing what it would turn out like lol!
Wow, thats amazing and I love the lace work around the edges…you can change the title if you like because I like the Elegant , think my name spoils it. Go ahead and give it a better title. You must have spent hours on this..welld one. Billy
Thanx BillyLee! So happy you like it! took me about half an hour, 40 minutes, kept getting interupted by Zafyre lol! I can draw pretty fast with pen and pencil, its the paintings that take me time, The gaea painting took me about a week… and airbrushing, those take hours. If I spend too long on a piece I get bored with it and dont finish…So these days I just get into it, and dont think too much about it while I’m doing it… You made the perfect model! :) Just for you, I’ll change the title to… Elegant Transcendence
I liked BillyLee’s photo, but by removing all the background clutter you have actually improved it. I am greatly impressed by the speed with which you do your portraits. How long did it take you to do that delightful portrait of our niece Debbie?
Thanx Dave! I thought about doing the furniture etc, but decided against it, thought it looked prettier without it.. The portrait of Debbie took me about an hour or two if it were solid time, but i’m always getting distracted, (changing nappies etc) so I’m not sure how long they would take if I just got to dedicate full time to drawing.. With the one of Debs though I wanted it to be really good so I kept going back to it. Until I was satisfied… I remember my Heath portraits took me half hour each… Maybe i should start timing myself lol! :)
I could save hours of time if I could draw as fast as you do, without losing quality. You manage to combine speed and quality, but I can’t hurry things.
thanx Dave! of course it helps if I know what I’m drawing! that way i dont waste time redoing things and changing direction halfway… with the pics that come out of my head only..they take longer…as I dont actually consciously know what i’m drawing really until its drawn… hope that makes sense! :)
