I am a huge believer in the power of breast milk!
My daughter has not been sick apart from the general cold and flus that we all get, tho she didnt get those either when she was on the boob… She is intelligent well adjusted and creative, and we have the best bond i could of ever dreamed of having… Thats the main and primary reason why breasts even exist, to feed our babies! The whole sex thing is completely secondary… it saddens me how the general population here in Oz cant seem to get past the sexualisation of the breast, and our children suffer for it. It is slowly becoming more accepted, but it should be completely accepted, everywhere… people shouldnt even bat an eyelid when they see a baby being breastfed, yet so many will stop and stare or give dirty looks, or even tell me to do it in another room… well those ignorant people were told in a simple matter of fact way to piss off and not waste my time…

You are so right in your saying! People need to get a more natural view on sexual matters and this will ease anything else. Breastfeeding is so very important, also because it strengthen the baby’s health … and the positive emotions you give your child in those moments are very important also. And of course does breast feeding is nothing sexual, oh my … I don’t like those narrow minded, bigot human beings.

I was brought up to believe that sex and all things related were NOT taboo, were all natural and normal and healthy… And when you’re not hung up on the taboo of sex, then it ceases to be taboo, and becomes just part of life, the source of life…
Breatsfeeding was one of the things I was lucky to be able to give to my daughter for 2 years and I truly feel for the women who thru health reasons, are unable to b/f… I would of been devastated.. but never had any problems with it and she weaned herself just before she turned two.
As far as narrow mindeness in people, it will always be there, simmering under the surface of society… I choose tho to not allow that type of thinking to rule my head or my heart and hopefully thru education and just simple aknowledgement… that by the time my daughter is a mother herself, that society will, as a whole, embrace motherhood and all that comes with it, instead of this modern age thinking of have the kid, put it in day care and resume your life… no i dont think so, to me raising a child is a lifetime commitment, and all the sleepless nights and soreness that goes with lol.
