My rant-
In the journey to self acceptance its a tricky tricky road
With the grass always greener on the other side…
Why are we pressured to keep ourselves hidden, clothed, covered from the world… made to feel unworth… when one doesnt fit the ‘mould’
Western Society tries to corrupt us to be ashamed of what we are, at the same time as encouraging us to be confident and self assured…
Amid brainwashing us all what we should look like and how we should act…
What a mind job…

Ok, So since having my child two years ago confidence has not been a strong point… :)
One looks in the mirror and sees a stranger :)
(who stole my body? – i swear i used to be bigger lol)
But slowly as time goes by i’m learning to accept what i am once more
and so, in an effort to get that to sink in…, here i am. :)

As my other half says to me, Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes :)
and True Beauty is from within!
so screw the outer beauty thang, for its inner beauty i truly strive for!
(inner beauty also, with a little willpower, does not succumb to age…
...unlike the flesh)

    Wow Jodi….if I had a beautiful body like yours…I’d be jumping for joy…my ex use to tell me I looked like a Hindu boy with his head on backwards…lol This is a gorgeous shot of a beautiful body…and for one that has carried and given birth….it’s in top shape by the looks of it :))xx

    but somedays I just want to cry when I see a mirror..
    bit messed up I think I am regarding my own beauty. :)

    nice shape from what I can tell…..now, I understand body acceptance, we have workshop classes in it where I go to my Pagan retreat…wow, so many body types, and the few who really do look good are usually the most self-shy as opposed to those who aren’t who stay naked most of the time….
    we live in a society of double standards, on one hand we are told it is taboo to be naked, on the other, it is exploited either in advertising or porn, or, on the beaches with little covering anyway…I don’t get it, how we are made to be ashamed of our real clothing, the skin…sure, some of us are not that appealing visually (like myself)but beauty is in how it is displayed, too, with confidence and artistic endeavor…
    beauty, like art, needs to be shared and that is enough validation, to me…

    anyhow yeah, you are right, wish i could be as accepting, however my vanity would force me to do aweful things if i looked any diff than i do now…sad huh?
