i just thought of somthing else i think its the fact that you cant see the beby but know she is there that gives it a touch of magic especialy for yourself i once took a photo of my aunt and mum walking down a long ave of trees from the back and thought they where the main charecters in the picture as they where the only poeple in it the fact you couldnt see there faces but knew who they where made it my favourit picture

  • dimarie replied

yes! i so know what you mean!
My heart melts when i look at this one :)
Do you still have the photo you took?
    I’d love to see it!

not sure there have been so many moves but i will see if i can dig it out and maybe scan it

  • dimarie replied

yea i ‘lose’ many things on the many moves we’ve had to do…
Most spewin about my short story (only a few pages long) i wrote years back, and it won awards n such at the class i was attending… and it was one of my best (imo) and sure enough, it went ‘missing’ when we moved into this house… and silly me, it was the only copy of it too!

just thought of somthing else i like about this picture the way you have treated it reminds me of when they used to etch the drawing into a copper plate then ink and print it on to paper
especialy the dry grass in the front being as youve worked it so well for all i know the grass may have been green but it now looks dry as if late autumn the whole shot is so pionient

thats really interesting i like both versions as a picture or poster i would choose the sepai aged version but the way you have used the text and the colouring of the origional really would work well in advertising or as a greeting card imagine somone wanting to advertise country walks but overall your decision to age the image gives it a timless and moving feeling
