I love this… It’s absolutely brilliant. Love the colours, the textures and the white moon shining in the background. The fairy herself is wonderfully drawn, very soft, very subtle…. yet the slight flicks on her wings, feet and fingers give her that edge.
Really is excellent work :-)

The tree was an unfinished old drawing I did when i was a teenager…(I’m a hoarder of sorts lol, so have lots of old artwork layin around) and she seemed perfect to finish it off!

Just drawn on paper, well, really really thin paper, that I drew on in about 94…so whats that…14 years old lol… anywayz, the effects mostly came up with the brilliant little ‘burn’ tool on ps, which i use in alot of my work… this one tho i ‘overused’ it lol, so it really did start to look ‘burnt’....

heh, it’s funny you should say that…. I’m exactly the same. Its quite interesting looking back on older sketches and drawings. Some stand the test of time (i still think my Mervin drawing is one of my best, and i drew that when i was fifteen years old!).. however i often stumble upon old drawings i once thought looked good yet are now cringably bad shudders
Anyhoo… The outline of that fairy is beautiful. Brilliantly drawn with a real professional touch… all the lines are so clean and clear, soft and flowing. I feel this image here definitely makes it more ‘complete’, however i still feel your original outline has a unique charm of its own. What a wonderful talent you have.

is just old old crinkled paper and once in photoshop i used my favourite lil tool, the burner and went over the background with it! :)
