Thankyou Chris!
I’m likin these silhouette pics…
when I was a child I had this book of short stories, had in it the story of the kingdom under the sea, and the witch in the chicken foot hut…do you know the stories? anyway, in this book, it had a black cover…anyway, it had a few pictures for the stories, and they were all done in silhouette form, the most amazing beautiful pictures, and the backgrounds were that marble effect that you can do to paper…when you soak it or something…Oh i knew so much more years ago lol.
I wish I had that book still, it was stolen from me years ago…
But anyway, I was reaching back into my memeory (fragmented remember lol) and that book inspired me! :)
Very much appreciated!

i just searched it on goodgle and found it! woohoo!
its called “the kingdom under the sea” by Joan Aiken and illustrated by Jan Pienkowski, who is the lady who illustrates the childrens books Meg and Mog, and it looks like she has also illustrated a few other books in her silhouette style, like “The fairy tales” oh i’m all excited now, I’m gonna go search her some more!
Oh, i can get that book too! cool!
love it!

oops! lol, Jan pienkowski is a man, not a woman…oops…sorry about that :)

This would be a good illustration for a childrens’ fairy story book.
