Amaltheas Enchanted Home

This is a collaboration for the Contest
in the Live, Love, Dream group, themed ‘Inspiration’
Has been the perfect opportunity for me to collaborate with my Aunty, Kristina, who has a folio full of gorgeous photographs, but there was one in particular that I fell in love with upon first seeing it….The Fern and the Forest

As soon as I layed my overactive imagination driven eyes on her photo, I was instantly inspired,
I saw a magickal place, sparkling and shimmering and full of mystery and beauty and I knew I wanted to complete my ‘vision’ with this beautiful photo….

Unicorns have always been inspirational to me,
As a young child, my favourite movie was The Last Unicorn
I fell in love with the story and the magical beauty that was Amalthea, the tragic unicorn on her quest to free her kind, burdened by unfamiliar mortality, love, and regret that comes from her enchanted human guise.
It was the beginning of my life long love affair with all things magickal, has been the doorway to a world of unending inspiration, and opened my eyes to the beauty of imagination.

Below is the photo taken by Kristina that inspired my vision, that without, my vision would never have been realised…
Fern and the Forest

This one (below) is Kristina’s photograph of ‘Blue’, Kristinas neighbours pony, who she had grown attached to over the years…
Unfortunately Blue passed away recently.
I thought I would honour him by turning him into not only a magical unicorn, but also an elegant pegasus.
Goodbye Blue

This is the other photo I have used of Blue, taken by Kristina…

Kristina is a wonderful lady with a heart of gold and a soul that sparkles like sunlight.
Its awesome that she happens to be my aunty aswell.
She married my mum’s little bro before I was born, and Kristina has since been a very big part of the ‘life’ of the family.
Kristina, We love you sweety, thankyou for always being there for me!
I hope you like my vision!

Also available on a Tshirt-

thankyou for taking the time to view my art and (hopefully) comment…
please have a look at my other artwork…
hope you enjoy! :)

This is indeed a magical image it gives one hope in the regular world that this world exists.Bravo.Regards.

    Thankyou so much Daniel!
    I really appreciate that!
I like to believe that magick truly does exist, somewhere!
I just believe that we as a human race long ago forfeited our right to witness it and be a part of it, but that there is hope, and if we can prove our worth, one day we will be blessed once more with true magick in our lives…
I believe love and joy that we are lucky enough to have now are hints of what magick once was…

This is beautiful the sort of scene that reminds me of fantasy worlds that used to float around my head when i was a kid, and playing games with my friends..

Also if my ex saw this her head would explode 6 months it took to prove to her unicorns dont exist.. tho i wish they did to be true

  • dimarie replied

    Thankyou very much Stung!
I choose to believe, there is no harm in belief, but there is in death of belief….

Wonderful work Jodi…Unicorns have always been my favourite too…and yes, I believe they do exist although not in this world :)

  • dimarie replied

    Thanx Chris!
Sometimes I like to think that there are other worlds, where magick still exists, and unicorns and dragons, and all that jazz :)
Dam it, why was i born in this world then lol.
Was abit tricky doin this image because Kristina’s pics of the horse Blue had the harness on…and i dont have any horse photos of my own really, love unicorns, but never been a horse person lol.but I think it came out good!

  • BLYTHART

    BLYTHART

  • dimarie replied

    Why thankyou Harri!
Yes, I do! and despite the crap (both good humoured and bad taste) that i cop for that lol, i will continue to believe! :)

Sometimes I like to think that there are other worlds, where magick still exists....there are Jodi…I come from one :)
Dam it, why was i born in this world then ...to learn the process of life to ready you for the spiritual realms.
You did a good job ridding the briddle…and adding the horn (it’s wand). Horses are unicorns in pure worlds…this world is lacking in purity, which is why it is like it is.
I think you did a good job too :)

  • Mui-Ling Teh

Definately worth watching again, if you ever get the time! :)
