Strength of MAN Series (Image 6)

Strength of Identity

With the Sicilian symbol on one arm, and his family name on the other……he understands and knows the man that he is.

Thank you to my model, Adam.

Here is a link to some more information on the Sicilian Flag. (Thank you to Antonello for the suggestion!)

wow did not know about Sicilian symbol at all
    great shot Luisa

  • thank you!!!
Yes…this is the symbol of my people…….It is called the trinacria and is made up of a Gorgon’s head with snakes for hair (Medusa)…..the Gorgon represents the daughters of the sea, as we are an island. The snakes are holding wheat…..this grain symbolises the fertility of our land. And the three legs are the three extreme points of Sicily – Punta del Faro in the province of Messina, Capo Passero near Siracusa and Capo Lille west of Marsala.

Triskelion, il simbolo è anche rappresentativo della Bretagna, forse noi siciliani andavamo in giro anche allora…

  • sai……ci sta una parola per i siciliani come noi………che vanno in giro……… ;) ;)
