Hello Dillerkind, I like your fresh view on a idea and well as your technical execution. Well done!

  • When I started colouring this one I was pretty sceptical about it.. didn’t expect to like it at all. Felt too simple, too low-detail, too incomplete.. But I think adding at least the shoulder region last minute (which wasn’t in the original sketch until I was halfway through with the colo) helped alot. But I’m drifting into offtopic here..
    Many thanks!

As long as you know what a rebreather is that’s technical enough for me. You do lovely work.

  • Oh dammit.. you’re right. It should have been breather.. don’t know the word _re_breather sneaked into my brain. Well, guess we’ll never finish learning foreign languages ;)
    Anyway, thanks for the compliment!

I think Respirator is the word you’re looking for then (most people would cal it a gas mask but they’d be wrong). Where are you from anyway?

  • I checked two online dictionaries and they both said breather is fine.. but of course you’re right. Respirator is yet another option (and probably even the better one).
    And I’m from Germany.

Good to meet you, I like your work. Breather to a native english speaker is a type of stalker who harasses women on the phone by breathing heavily (for example “I got a call from a breather last night” ) or more literally any person who breathes.

  • Hehe, well okay.. that’s not what I had in mind while drawing that thing. But it’s interesting.. so thanks for sharing that knowledge with me ;)
Ah yes, pleased to meet you too!
