TOMATO GROUPER Cephalopholis sonnerati (NOT A PHOTOGRAPH OR PHOTOMANIP) by

Digital painting created using Corel Painter v X for a WWF First Day Cover envelope for Aitutaki.
This is yet another example of a symbiotic relationship between two very different species. The shrimp helps clean the teeth of the grouper, while the grouper offers the shrimp protection from predators…which, one assumes, doesn’t include groupers…maybe they don’t like the taste of shrimp….

Me too Trish. Quite an education, doing this stuff. I just wish my memory could retain more than just fiddle tunes, because it would be good to be able to remember all the latin names for all the things I’ve painted over the years. X
