First phase of a digital artwork created using Painter v10, for a WWF numsimatic envelope design (incorporates a clear window containing a coin) for Togo.
This is only part of the final artwork, which will include a left profile of the turtle’s head in the bottom right of the composition. The circular window containing the coin (which I also designed) will occupy the space bottom left. This is why the composition appears to be ‘top heavy’ but I chose to leave it this way rather than crop it. I will post the final artwork, when I have completed the second phase, showing the head. I may also post a cropped version of this phase, in case anyone is interested in a print or card of it in landscape format.
Incidentally, despite still being in the throes of moving house, ending one relationship and rekindling another, I was still able to pump this out, even though it took twice as long to paint as usual.
Not seeking praise for doing so. I just wanted to show that it’s possible to remain creative in a chaotic environment, if you can keep focussed.
It may not be easy, but it is possible.
