Well, now that the Egret ‘slideshow’ is FINALLY working, I felt I should give you a breakdown of what you are seeing.
So where do I start? ( People always ask that)
As you will see, I start with a blank ‘canvas’ with the ref pic above. Then I create a line drawing. In fact, in this instance, it’s 2 line drawings, because each bird is on a separate layer. Layers are the key to working digitally as you’ll see.
The ‘size’ of the canvas I use is around A4 (20cmx28cm) but on a computer, ‘size’ doesn’t mean much, as it is relative to resolution. I work at 300dpi and stamp art is x4 repro size, so when my art is scrunched down four times to be printed as stamps, the res becomes 1200dpi (standard for postage stamps). I have even pai…
