Like this “In my face” style, it comes out and greets you, stunning comp & detail.

  • DilettantO replied

Thanks Warren. It’s quite similar to one of the other designs in the issue, but I just loved that ‘dopey’ expression! Glad you like it. I’ll be putting a couple of ‘Marine Life’ calendars together over the weekend and one of these guys may be in one of them.

O, you never cease to amaze me… what a remarkable animal!! Were you taught to draw like this, or have you always been able to? This is just such superb work… i’ve never known anyone who could paint like this on the computer!! Your work is matchless!! Barb

  • DilettantO replied

Thanks Barb, was I taught? Well, to be honest, no, except self taught. Art School didn’t really teach me anything. It just gave me time to figure out what I wanted to do with the skills I had and the space and equipment to create it. I learnt how to paint on the computer simply by doing it… A LOT of it. Practice something long enough and you have to get better at it. I never read manuals. I just try stuff out. More fun that way! XH

Thanks again Rosemary, I thought so too, which is why I chose this pic for a tee short design. X
