Hi Julie, This is a very different work to what I normally attempt. Its part of me trying to do more than just trees yet retain the mood & light. I also used very broad strokes to portray movement. All done with one brush Glad you like it
Really like what I’m seeing with the change up in paint style. A far more softer paintery style. Very nice work Diko.
Hi Jim, Thanks, I mentioned before I was frustrated that I hadn’t painted for 3 weeks and needed to produce work. That in turn made me approach the work in a more impressionistic and fluid style. I am happy with the results

Mrswillow, Your words again are spot on. I also think the morning light is a beautiful thing. I don’t typically use such soft colours but it seemed to suit this work. I wanted the light to have an appearance of movement to compliment the the sky and sea. I could have worked on the figures a little more though.
