    that was the first thing that jumped out at me- the water- shimmering and as Lorus said it (a glassy feel)- if one is patient now and again you can actually see the water ripple and shimmer- beautifully done- and congrats on being a featured member in Painted Nature-

    A bit different to your usual work Diko…but nevertheless…a beautiful painting..would have known it was yours from the wonderful trees !!!!and love that lovely shimmering water with those lovely reflection..another wonderful painting and a fav !!!!!

    Yes, its different to having a regal tree as a focal point. I loved painting this and really enjoyed painting the smoke from the boats chimney together with the reflection of the smoke on the water
